QReview!
Someone Like You
Author: Timothy James Beck
Section: Fiction
Genre: Gay, lesbian, straight, humor
Rating: 9.0
Plot Rundown The Mall of the Universe
is renowned for being the biggest, craziest,
most stellar mall you could imagine. Vienna's
determined to work in every store in the
mall, seeing as her psychology license was
suspended when she went after a client with a
letter opener. She tells everything to Davii,
the campiest queer hairdresser at the
mall...and a black belt in tae kwon do.
Davii's falling fast for Derek, the kept
boyfriend of the wealthy Hunter Congreve
who's just started working in the Drayden's
department store. Derek's desperate for help
from Christian, a good-natured and
better-mannered charmer with a client whose
klutziness seems likely to destroy the entire
mall. Thus begins this novel.
Review: I shall give you fair warning:
EVERYTHING in the Mall of the Universe
possesses a groan-worthy celestial pun as a
name. CosmicTology, the Brew Moon Cafe, and
the Launch Pad Skating Rink are some of the
more bearable ones. However, warning
dispensed, let me assure you that if you're
looking for a fun, witty, unpredictable
little read, this novel is your man. True,
the puns can be a little much at times, and
granted, the ending gets a little too sappy
for a chapter or two, but regardless, this is
a wonderful little gem well worth the time to
read.

Trans-identified individuals needed for a

others perceive that person in relation to

for individuals
who want to help create the dialogue and
modify the storyline based on lived
experience. No acting experience required.
