QReview!
Boyfriend Material
Author: Jon Jeffrey
Section: Fiction
Genre: TV-Show Drama, Gay
Rating: 6.5
Plot Rundown: In the big city,
everyone has issues. Carson attempts to find
love with a married man while struggling to
present his idea of boyfriend trading cards
to the magazine he works for; Danny endures
the ups and downs of his relationship with
the pop star whose manager he is; Nathan
searches for a man with more mind than
machismo, and fails miserably; and Rob,
despite his better judgment, enters a
relationship with the father of one of his
students and agonizes because of it. Drama
and catastrophe abound; whose life will mend
and whose will be ground into dust?
Review: Bouncy and reminiscent of
Sex and the City, this book
unfortunately falls short of its characters.
Although it has some interesting ideas, it
introduces more characters than it can
handle, and in the end suffers greatly for
this. Mindless drama it has aplenty, however,
if that’s what floats your boat.
